Summer Acting Camp
Lakeside Shakespeare Festival 2026
Our Summer Acting Camps aim to teach creativity and cooperation by exposing students to different ways to utilize their language, bodies and imaginations. Over the course of each three-day workshop, students will learn the basics of understanding stage terminology, speaking in heightened language, creating characters and performing safe stage combat — all guided by Lakeside Shakespeare Festival’s professional Chicago theatrical teaching team.
Each workshop culminates in an evening performance before the professional show, allowing kids to showcase their hard work in front of an audience.
Please make sure your young thespian can attend all rehearsals and performance(s) before signing up for this workshop!
These camps take place at the Lakeside Shakespeare Festival performance venue Tank Hill in Frankfort: a clearing in the woods where creativity takes center stage amid the natural beauty of Northern Michigan (rain location TBD).
