The Ides of March (or, April?)

We’ve been cooking up a fun new Shakespearian experience for you, Northern Michigan! In collaboration with our friends at Left Foot Charley, The Village at Grand Traverse Commons, Earthen Ales, OBrien Vineyards, Higher Grounds Trading Co., Mashup Rock 'n Roll Musical, and City Opera House, we’re excited to announce The Ides of March, a one-day roaming Shakespeare festival!

The Ides of March will unfold as a choose-your-own-adventure journey: move from venue to venue encountering scenes, songs, and soliloquies. Between performances, there will be time to linger over local wine and beer, enjoy Sunday fare, and soak in the historic atmosphere of the Village with friends both old and new.

Enjoy drink specials at participating businesses and catch a short, fun, and accessible scene from one of Shakespeare’s works every half hour from 1-5pm.

UPDATE: The Ides of March roaming Shakespeare event has been rescheduled for April 19th, 2026 due to the snowstorm.
